1. The Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden offers an ever-changing sensory experience for garden lovers with a variety of native and adapted plant material in exciting compositions of form, color and texture. Botanical signage discusses the merits of specific plants and a series of path lights allow the garden to be enjoyed day and night.

2. Children's Garden

The 15,000 square foot children’s garden is 220 feet long by 100 feet at its widest point. Play areas and imaginative features such as a fountain, a child-scale amphitheater, sand area, family-size restroom, movable furniture, a water fountain, storytelling deck around a large Oak tree, play structures and rolling berms throughout the garden create a sense of mystery and wonder around every corner.

15. The Groves

The 25 foot wide alley of Oaks along the perimeter of the park provide an architectural rhythm along the streetscape. The Groves span the length of The Park’s south side and third of the north side.

3. Great Lawn

With a 3,000-person capacity, The Park's Great Lawn will be host to many events, including weddings, concerts, performance art, festivals, sports games and the occasional kite flight.

4. Reading & Games Courtyard

The Reading and Games Courtyard is a 2,600 square foot garden courtyard located along the Promenade between the Children’s Garden and the Harwood Plaza. Inspired by similar facilities in parks around the world, the Reading and Games Courtyard anticipates a mutually beneficial relationship with the Dallas Public Library and entities with a similar mission to promote education in Dallas communities.

16. Donor Recognition Wall

A handsome courtyard contains a monument commemorating the donors whose generosity enabled the construction of the Woodall Rodgers Park.

5. Harwood Plaza

The main entrance to the park from the homes and shops of Uptown and serves as an overflow for festivities occurring in the nearby restaurant.

6. Arts Plaza

The main entrance to the park from the Arts District adjacent to the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center.

11. Chase Promenade

Chase Promenade is the primary pedestrian spine that connects all areas of The Park. The 15’ wide path is planted with Pond Cypress trees, providing a continuous tree canopy that offers park users shelter from the Texas sun. At night, lights set into the tree grates transform the trees into a dramatic sculptural composition that carves its way through The Park.

7. Restaurant

A simple, open garden pavilion that physically and visually connects visitors to the surrounding park landscape. The glass walls, skylights and ceiling coffers are designed to be as light and visually open as possible to allow for an uninterrupted view from within the pavilion to the outside.

8. Muse Family Performance Stage

Sharing the same architectural design features as the restaurant pavilion, the performance stage will provide a unique venue for a wide variety of performance groups and entertainment. When no performances are scheduled, the stage will provide a shaded picnic pavilion for The Park’s visitors and provide a commanding view to the Great Lawn.

On-street parking will be available around the perimeter of the Park with additional parking in the Arts District and Uptown.

9. Olive Plaza and Water Gardens

Protected from Olive Street by a series of ornamental planting beds, this 3,200 square foot plaza features an interactive fountain and provides a comfortable space in the heart of The Park for people of all ages to enjoy. The focal of the plaza is the 60 foot long and 20 foot wide pool, a quarter-inch skin of water over a plane of stone paving.

10. East Lawn

This 7,800 square foot lawn provides a secondary location for park events and activities. The east lawn is conveniently accessed from Olive Plaza to the west, the Promenade to the north and a secondary pedestrian path to the south.

12. My Best Friend's Park

At 4,000 square feet, My Best Friend’s Park provides a comfortable environment for dogs to socialize and play off of their leashes. The dog park, made possible by the Boone Family Foundation has a single entry to the west that features an enclosed staging area where owners can leash or unleash their dogs.

13. Pearl Street Water Sculpture

Conceived as a signature feature of the park, the icon fountain is inspired by the sculptural form of a Calla Lily. The fountain is a tall structure of stacked glass and features three separate water events– a reflecting pool, a “rain” event and an interior cascade.

This Site may utilize public forums, which may include blogs, forums, message boards and other interactive features. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas is not protected as confidential and becomes public information. Abuse of Terms of Service Agreement
We have the right to share your name and contact information with our attorneys and law enforcement officials, if needed, in the event we believe you have breached our Terms of Service Agreement.

We treat data as an asset that must be protected and use lots of tools (encryption, passwords, physical security, etc.) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure.

All donations are processed utilizing PayPal which has its own privacy policies that relate to the data they process. Please click here to review their privacy policies.

Information you elect to post on the Site, e-mails and other information you send to us, except that which you send us on a secure page, is not encrypted and such transmissions cannot be considered a secure means of transmitting sensitive information. The Park will never ask you to submit your financial data, such as your credit card account numbers, via e-mail. It should be noted that The Park utilizes third party vendors for commercial transactions. Specifically, The Park utilizes PayPal, which provides its own detailed Privacy Policy and User Agreement. Please review those policies carefully before you disclose any personal information.

Age Restrictions; Children’s Privacy
This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If The Park obtains actual knowledge that it has obtained personal information about a child under the age of 13, that information is immediately and permanently deleted from our records.

This Terms of Use Agreement (“Agreement”) constitutes a valid, binding contract between you and Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation, a Texas nonprofit corporation (“The Park”), the owner and operator of www.theparkdallas.org, with respect to the use of this website (the “Site”). Your access to the Site is provided subject to compliance with the terms of this Agreement and Your use of this Site signifies and constitutes your acceptance of this Agreement, as it may be amended from time to time. Please read this Agreement carefully as it forms a binding contract between you and The Park. Please print a copy of this agreement for your records.

The Park takes the issue of privacy on the Internet very seriously. To view our privacy statement, click here. User Communications and Unsolicited Idea Submission
By voluntarily submitting electronic communications (including pictures and anecdotes) to or through the Site, you agree that such submissions are non-confidential for all purposes and agree to any information you provide being stored in a database. Please note, it is The Park’s policy not to review or consider ideas, suggestions, or proposals other than those we specifically request.
